♻️ The recycling of plastic waste collected on beaches

After each cleanup operation, Ocean Zero Plastic conducts a meticulous sorting of the waste collected along the coastline.

The goal is to give a second life to the plastics recovered and reduce their environmental impact.

The plastics are first separated by type (bottles, packaging, fishing nets, hard or soft fragments).

The recyclable waste is then transported to partner treatment centers, where they are:

🔹 Cleaned and rid of sand and salt,

🔹 Shredded into flakes or pellets,

🔹 Then melted and transformed into new raw materials.

These recycled materials are used to create sustainable items: urban furniture, textiles, accessories, eco-designed surfboards, or reusable containers.

Thus, each piece of waste collected becomes a useful resource rather than a danger to the sea.
Through this virtuous cycle, Ocean Zero Plastic demonstrates that a clean coastline can also be a source of innovation and hope for the planet 🌍💙
